Tempest with RideTech Suspension

The work continues in earnest on the #50 Super Duty 1963 Tempest in North Carolina. Under the watchful eye of renowned chassis builder, Steve Leavitt, the full NASCAR cage and floor pan have been installed, and the task of designing, fabricating and installing new control arms has been completed. When it came time to finish up the suspension by selecting a shock and spring package, Steve turned to Jim Cozzie of Ridetech.

Jim and Ridetech have long been favorites of Rosebush Racing. Between their stellar reputation & their approach of “giving the customer what they want when they want it,” it was natural to welcome them aboard this project.

Jim suggested a double-adjustable coil-over rear shock with vehicle-specific valve codes for the Tempest, along with another set of coil-overs for the front. To no-one’s surprise, they once again knocked it out of the park with their quality, leading-edge components!

With the parts sourced and installed, the Tempest was gently lowered to the ground and now sits on its own wheels & tires for the first time. Special thanks to #Ridetech for their expertise & for helping accomplish a significant milestone in our build. We look forward to working with you again on future projects!.
