Tempest with RideTech Suspension

The work continues in earnest on the #50 Super Duty 1963 Tempest in North Carolina. Under the watchful eye of renowned chassis builder, Steve Leavitt, the full NASCAR cage & floor pan have been installed, and the task of designing, fabricating & installing new control arms has been completed. When it came time to finish up the suspension by selecting a shock and spring package, Steve turned to Jim Cozzie of Ridetech.

Jim and Ridetech have long been favorites of Rosebush Racing. Between their stellar reputation & their approach of “giving the customer what they want when they want it,” it was natural to welcome them aboard this project.

Jim suggested a double-adjustable coil-over rear shock with vehicle-specific valve codes for the Tempest, along with another set of coil-overs for the front. To no-one’s surprise, they once again knocked it out of the park with their quality, leading-edge components!

With the parts sourced and installed, the Tempest was gently lowered to the ground and now sits on its own wheels & tires for the first time. Special thanks to #Ridetech for their expertise & for helping accomplish a significant milestone in our build. We look forward to working with you again on future projects!.
